Almost Ti85 Emulator Released

Hello there.
Today I want to announce the release of another piece of software from emu-genius Marat Fayzullin called “Almost Ti85” (ATi85). It emulates full-functional Texas Instruments Ti85 and Ti86 calculators. Marat has asked me if I can help with image faceplates and… well, you know :)
It was very interesting to try to make skins that will be familiar to Ti owners, fit 16:10 screen of the tablets and usable same time.So here are the results:
ATi85
Hope you’ll like it, cause as more calculators will be supported – more skins will come.
Thanks for reading.

FMS Emulators Icons

Hello everyone.

Life is very interesting thing, you never know what or who will you meet next. It was 6 years ago when I met fms’ awesome emulators while playing with my Viewsonic v35 pocket pc. That was really good and fun time for me because everyone around were totally jealous cause I could play tons of games right from the tiny device. And 6 years later I’ve met Marat Fayzullin a.k.a. fms on the #maemo IRC channel and it was real surprise and great chance to say “thank you” almost face-to-face.

After some time hanging around on #maemo, during hot debates bout Mer’s UI (and it’s a theme for the next post) Marat has asked me if I can draw some proper icons for his emulation series, and ofcourse I gladly agreed.

OMWeather 0.21 preview

Filed under: Medium UI improvements, Released software — Tags: , , , , — Andrew Zhilin @ 22:07

Hello there.

Today I will show you some results of real Community Collaboration. Real transcontinental developing experience. Just a few months ago I had no idea how Community works, what shall I do to participate in it’s life. Few months ago I had an honor to meet such great developers as Vlad Vasiliev, Oleg Fialko and Andrew “Personal” Olmsted. I was extremely pleased to work with them on some awesome software. I’m not a programmer at all, but they allowed me to participate in their developing process and I’m very grateful for them for doing this. I can’t describe how awesome is to watch your ideas becoming alive. Thank you all, guys!

Well, lets move on to our topic. While another great “Personal” project is in development, OMWeather 0.21 is nearcoming and I want you to have a breif look what we’ve done during this time.

OMWeather 0.2 release

sbc1.jpgHello.

First of all, I’m very sorry for such a long pause in posting in this blog – I had a lot of work to do. But there are some great news: I’ve participated in two projects. And I want to tell you about one of them today :)

It’s new release of one of the most useful software on NIT — Other Maemo Weather. And I’m very proud to work with such a great talented team. So, let me introduce OMWeather v.0.20 :)I was asked to make new default iconset, instead of”Crystal”. There were some copyright problems so to avoid them OMWeather dev’s decided to replace it and I happily agreed to help them. So I’ve made “Glance” iconset. Hope you’ll like it. other great new features of OMWeather 0.20 — after the break ;)

OMWeather «Contour» iconset.

coi.jpgHello.

Today I want to introduce you my iconset for OMWeather called «Contour»

The main feature of this set is that it looks very familiar with Maemo OS’08 interface. And also it’s 100% readable both on bright and dark backgrounds.

Feel free to post your comments and suggestions here :)

Right now you can download it here but soon it will be available right in your Application Manager.

Want to give many thanks to Vlad Vasiliev for rapid helping me in assembling .deb file :)

Stay tuned.

P.S.: And happy first day of spring :)

It’s alive! [Statusbar clock release]

sbc2.jpg Hello everyone.

Today I want to proudly present you the first application, that was inspired by this blog:

Andrew Olmsted’s Statusbar Clock

I think that I don’t need to explain what it does. The main great idea of Andrew is to use two applets for more visibility of digits and it works pretty solid!

I’m sure that this is just the beginning and many other ideas of community will inspire developers to make them real. Thank you very much, Andrew and thanks all for reading this blog. Keep it up!
